GRAN TURISMO rules!!!!

Gran Turismo 2 is one of the most realistic driving games out for the PS1. Gran Turismo 2 has a uniquness because it is different to other racing games like Colin McCrey Rally 2.0 it mixes the speedy road racers and amazing rallys into one game. On GT mode there is an amazing amount to do it is unbaleivable you can test your driving abilitys on the tuff new licences such as the IC licence and the Special licence even when you've got all the licences you'll still be trying to get gold on each one.

The Graphics have shaped up nicely since the first game so you can see all your fave cars in beautiful graphics while your racing. Also the amount of manufacures have stormed up since the first game with of Lancia, Vector and so many more. Probably the best thing about this game is the gameplay because you can't glide through the difficulty level so easily on this game it could take you years to win all the racers, get all the licences and tune up your cars to there max power.

One of the most adictive things about this game is the tune up opion which was on Gran Turismo 1 building up your engine with turbos, styling your car with the racing car modifacations and making the handling tip top with tyres and customized gearing you'll be doing it over and over again. If you want to test your car after its beentuned up you can go to car test to your cars Top speed, Fastest time for 400m and its fastest time 1000m.

And if you want a break from all that work you can go arcade and relax with a nice little time trial but if not you can endure the tuffest kind of race an enduance and rock along to the great music and sound effects. This is the kind of game that sold so many playstations. BAD BITS The most annoying thing about this game (and prabably the only) is the memory card glinch, the game seems to be doing OK and when you try to load your memory up it says Cannot Load Data Data May Be Corrupt and you cannot get your saved memory back.

OVERALL This is most definitely the best racer for te Playstation with ace graphics and the best gameplay you could wish for but that one glinch lets it down so much so i'll have to give it 95%

GRAN TURISMO is awesome

Gran Turismo 2 is, like so many overrated games, a game that gets far more praise than it actually deserves. If it had been made into a run-of-the-mill arcade racing game, GT2 could've been fantastic. But, GT2 is an over-complicated driving simulation that tries far too hard to be realistic.

There are literally hundreds of cars to buy (around 600 to be precise). This is far too many if players actually want to use every car before they die of boredom. It's also very unlikely that you'll even be able to actually buy a car before your first month of owning the game, because getting a drivers' licence is one of the most infuriatingly difficult and downright monotonous punishments that PSOne owners are ever likely to subject themselves to (excluding Simpsons Wrestling, of course!).

And if you finally do manage to get a licence without chucking your console out the window or deciding that using the GT2 discs as frisbees would be more fun, GT2 is simply too big and too long a game to hold non-driving enthusiats' attention for more than half and hour. GT2, despite the hype surrounding it, is simply too big and too realistic for its' own good.

Simple bog-standard arcade racing games like Ridge Racer are a better choice for most gamers. Or, the Grand Theft Auto series is also excellent for a few laughs and plenty of driving action. GT2 on the other hand is simply dull. Avoid.
